Sintergy Inc. is a world class manufacturer of custom engineered powder metal components. These components are used in a variety of manufacturing industries, some of these include; automotive, agricultural equipment, lawn and garden, consumer products, and appliances.
Sintergy Inc's manufacturing facility, which includes over 11,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space, is located in Punxsutawney, PA., 15 miles south of interstate 80 and 1.5 hours north east of Pittsburgh, PA.
Powder Metallurgy Parts- the economical answer
Powder metallurgy parts, commonly known as P/M parts, are neither cast nor wrought but are instead shaped directly from powders through the powder metallurgy process. Although metals in powder form have been used for many centuries, modern P/M technology came into its own during World War II, and since that time has grown more rapidly than any other metal fabricating process. The principal reason for this growth is that the P/M process is an economical high-production method for making parts exactly to final dimensions and finishes with little or no machining operations.
